gender roles - week four

This week I have learned about the different roles that males and females have. It was interesting to learn about how different boys and girls are and even if you give each child the same toy like a car or a doll they may or may not play it. I have learned that even if boys like more girlish toys or girls liking more boy things it is fine just let them and even play along with them to spend time and to help build those relationships. Sometimes by playing with different toys it allows the child to learn to be caring , thoughtful, good communication, or being good at nurturing. I think we should embrace the differences of men and women and help those different characteristic work together in helping strengthen a family.  It is interesting to me to see how even now how roles have changed in families with both the dad and mom sharing to doing the house work or  helping with children and supporting the family.

something learned for october 4

Last week in class I learned about the different roles in the family there are. For example I have grown up my dad being the main provider for the family and my mother being a stay at home mom helping managing the family money helping with homework and doing laundry among other things. I think I was the peacemaker in my home for the most part trying to help everyone get along with each other. As I have grown up over the years it is interesting to see how my brother and sisters have decided how they would raise their families. Also it was cool to see how my dad would help with dishes or doing chores along with trying to be the main provider.  I also think how each family is different and have their own ways of doing things in their families like maybe the mom works awhile the dad stays home or sometimes you can find both parents working together to provide for the family. I also find how over time the roles of men and women have changed over the years and I have come to find that parents work together to get everything done that needs to be done. My opinion for raising my own family in the future would be that my husband would be the main provider but if need to I would gladly help out with  helping to provide for the family  and get a job , but if I could I would love to stay home and take care of my children.

family relations something learned

In family relations we have talked about cultures and how different things in your cultures influence who we become and how we think and act. Also the environment that we are influences who we are and we react to things. It is amazing to think how the way we grow up makes who we are today.  When things happen that change roles in the family like money problems or someone a parent dies it changes how things get done and how the family works together to make sure everyone as their basic needs meet. It was interesting to learn about and how people learn to combined

family relations

In family relations we talked about if it mattered how many children someone had. I think it matters that we do have children so that we can continue to help the population grow and I also think that God has children that get to come to our families. Along with that I think it is up to the couple and God as to how many children a couple decided too have. It is a wonderful gift to be able to have children and to be able to create life. It is a remarkable gift that I hope I can when married I will cherish the opportunity to have children.  Also I every family is different and have different situations that people are placed in. I am excited for the day when I get to be able to be a mother and to have children of my own.
